Two ways we can help

  • A family member becomes the paid caregiver. If a relative or friend is already helping, Michigan Medicaid may pay them for it. We handle the application, assessment, CHAMPS enrollment and EVV. How getting paid to care works.
  • We place a caregiver. If no one in the family can provide care, we match your loved one with a background-verified, CHAMPS-enrolled caregiver whose training fits their needs.

What Supportive Solutions handles for you

We help families of people with disabilities covered by Michigan Medicaid get paid for the care they already give, or we find and place a trained caregiver in the home. We are an enrolled MI Choice Waiver provider and we serve all of Michigan.

  1. Eligibility and Medicaid

    We check eligibility and, if your loved one is not on Medicaid yet, help you apply.

  2. Assessment

    We prepare you for the Home Help or MI Choice assessment so the real level of need is recorded.

  3. Caregiver enrollment

    We enroll the caregiver in CHAMPS and set up EVV (electronic visit verification).

  4. Paying the caregiver

    We pay the caregiver. The first paycheck typically arrives about 30 days after approval.

  5. Or we place a caregiver

    No one in the family available? We place a background-verified, CHAMPS-enrolled caregiver with training that matches your loved one's needs.

  6. Ongoing support

    Reassessments, changes in hours and appeals, with one team you can call every day from 8 AM to 8 PM.
